About Costa Calida
This 'warm coast' is a beautiful Mediterranean coastline of 250 km. There are large beaches with both a wild sea and calm waters thanks to the narrow bays lined with palm trees. It has a warm microclimate. The average temperature in winter is 16°C, spring and autumn 20°C and summer 31°C. The area is most populated around Mar Menor and Cartagena. A flight takes 2h30.
The Costa Cálida consists of several nature parks each with their own landscape, fauna and flora. The protected area "Barrancos de Gebos", for instance, consists of a landscape of ravines. At first glance, you would think that there is no life here. But you will discover birds such as the bee-eater, whitethroat and red-headed shrike. And if you are lucky, you may even spot a fox, badger or pearl lizard.
As a golf enthusiast the Costa Cálida offers you a choice of 22 breathtaking golf courses with 348 holes in total. Every terrain has its own landscape and characteristics. Beginners as well as professionals can use their energy here. Among these golf courses are the famous Real Golf La Manga Club, Alhama Signatura Golf and La Torre Golf.
Cities & culture
The Costa Cálida has many nice, beautiful cities where you can soak up the history and culture. You have the capital Murcia, the harbour city Cartagena, the city Lorca with its castle, and the city Caravaca de la Cruz, also called the Holy City. A city visit is ideal for adding variety to your holiday.
The Mar Menor is Europe's largest saltwater lagoon. Due to the long, narrow strip of land, there are no tides, big waves or currents. It is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches with nice beach bars. The first 50 metres from the beach are only 1 - 1.5 metres deep. This makes it very suitable for windsurfing but also for children, elderly and disabled people.
Walking & cycling
The Costa Cálida has a very varied landscape. You can choose from countless routes for walking, cycling and/or mountain biking. An ideal and sporty way to get to know the real Costa Cálida with its mountains, fertile valleys, old villages and beautiful coastline.
The region of Murcia is sometimes called the European kitchen garden. There is a long growing season thanks to its specific landscape and good climate. Among the best local dishes we have artichokes, rice, fish and grilled vegetables. This with a nice glass of wine from the local winemaker will add the finishing touch to your meal.
We offer you a variety of properties, located at the coast, the golf course or more inland.
