One in three homes on the Canary Islands is currently being bought by foreigners

This marks a 75% increase compared to 2021. It's the reason why the specialized Antwerp real estate firm Nieuwbouw in Spanje opened a branch in Tenerife earlier this year, where students from the real estate program at AP Hogeschool can also gain experience during their Erasmus internships.

Another branch is soon to open on Kloosterstraat in Antwerp, in a former parquet shop that underwent a complete makeover in recent months.

Since then, they've been assisting Belgians and Dutch nationals primarily in purchasing new properties in Costa Blanca, Costa Cálida, Tenerife, and Ibiza.

They now sign off all their emails with 'sunny regards'.
