Life Change After Retirement: Jean-Pierre (63) and Linda (64) from Hofstade

After their retirement, Jean-Pierre and Linda decided to sell their house with a large garden and purchase two new apartments: one in Veurne and one in Tenerife. This choice allows them to spend every winter in the pleasant climate of Tenerife, which is not only good for their health but also for their well-being. They enjoy an active lifestyle, often exploring nature and practicing sports like surfing and cycling.

Discovery of the Ideal Climate in Tenerife

Originally planning to buy a second residence in Greece, Jean-Pierre and Linda were disappointed when they discovered that Zakynthos was too cold for winter stays. Their search for a location with the best climate in Europe led them to Tenerife, where temperatures are pleasant almost year-round and rarely drop below 20 degrees Celsius. This makes the island perfect for their love of outdoor activities and their need for a healing environment, especially after Jean-Pierre's back surgery six years ago.

Investment in Tenerife

Their apartment in Palm-Mar, South Tenerife, was purchased blindly after a two-year wait, with confidence in 'Nieuwbouw Tenerife', a Flemish project known for its quality and reliability. This apartment not only provides them with a comfortable retreat during the winter months but also serves as a place where their daughter can easily stay during her visits.
